Pre-planning a trip to Morocco is as exciting as it is important. With so many different cultural identities, landscapes, and histories, there may be too much to see in too little time. Here Our mission begins! This is how you can get a full Moroccan experience in 2 days.

Day 1: Marrakech – Zagora

From such a mountain view over the valleys and the Berber towns, situated on the sides of the mountains and sometimes barely distinguishable from the mountain itself is stunning morning departures from your hotel or riad through the Atlas mountains and popular Tizi-n-Tichka (2260 m). It continues to fall after crossing the pass until you finally arrive at Ouarzazate, where you stop for lunch. From there you pass a smaller pass, Tizi-n – Tinfifite, before you enter the Draa to Agdez gorge. We travel along the old wagons, going through several villages and fields, between the mountains and the water, to get a better understanding of how to live in the oasis. You come to Zagora, where you can take a camel ride in the camp for the night, watch the sunset, and dine in the dunes.

Day 2: Zagora – Marrakech

You are rewarded with the beautiful shadow play on the sand if you get up early to see the sunrise. You will come back north after breakfast and take another short route. You leave the main road from Ouarzazate to Marrakesh to reach the Ait Ben Haddou UNESCO World Heritage Site. It was used as a backdrop to many Hollywood blockbusters and was one of the major locations on the ancient caravan roads of Salt, from which traders took slaves, gold, ivory, and salt from Sub-Saharan Africa to Marrakesh and beyond. Continue from here on the new road towards Telouet Kasbah, the renowned Lord of the Atlas. The Glaoui family, now in ruins after the last Pasha fled the land after the French departed. The return to Marrakech is on the main road that runs through numerous Berber villages on the banks of the river. Sometimes you go down through the valleys, lined with fruit trees and oleanders. The garden is filled with olives, noodles, grenades, apples, pears, and quinces. Berber women and children care for sheep and go up steep paths to find fodder and firewood. In the early evening, we come to Marrakech.
