How to see Morocco in 4 days tour from Ouarzazate to Merzouga Sahara desert

Pre-planning a trip to Morocco is as exciting as it is important. With so many different cultural identities, landscapes, and histories, there may be too much to see in too little time. Here Our mission begins! This is how you can get a full Moroccan experience in 4 days from Ouarzazate.

Ouarzazate Kasbah road view

Day 1:Ouarzazate – Dades Gorges.

You will go to Dades Gorge, after breakfast, and visit the Skoura Oasis. Among the palm trees there are several old kasbahs, some sadly in ruins. We ride from here to Kela'aM'gouna, the Roses valley, famed for its Rose Festival in May. We stop here to see beauty products made locally from the rich flowers of the valley. These goods are known and highly regarded in Morocco. You take an off-road trip from here to get a better view of the countryside. Along the way, you'll rest in the cellars used by some Berber nomad walking by and declaring residence. We will have a glass of tea with them before continuing to the Dades Gorge for lunch. This leaves you half a day to walk in the valley or to spend it relaxing or simply strolling by the fields and gardens, or having tea with a Berber family.

Day 2:Dades – Merzouga.

After breakfast, you travel to the very different gorges of Tinghir for a quick hike, which helps you to admire the steep side of the gorge and the vast expanse of the sky overhead. From there you follow the Chebbi dunes through Tinjdad, the Tafilalet oasis near Erfoud, famed for its Date Festival, and the Rissani, home to the Alaouite family of today's Morocco king. Rissani and Erfoud. Between Tinjdad and Erfoud, you should stop to get profoundly cool and escape the evaporation of this source of irrigation into the fascinating underground channels. In Erfoud, you will wait and see thousands of fossils transformed into objects of all sizes. It's going to be lunch in a Berber village. At the bivouac, you are invited to see the sunset from the top of a dune with a glass of tea before taking a camel journey. Later, dinner and night are at the base of the dunes in a nomad shelter.

Day 3:Merzouga – Agdez.

Get up early enough to watch the sunrise spectacle, as the dunes and shadows give a wonderful show. The trip goes on to the valley of Draa via the village of Tazzarine (in the film 'Babel'). In the afternoon the trip brings us to Tanzikht to explore the real Draa Valley, with its massive palm trees and ancient villages, along the ancient caravan route. We stop in Agdez in the evening for a kasbah, at the end of the day.

Day 4:Agdz – Agadir.

We travel from Agdz north-west to Taznakht, famed for its Berber glims and tapestries following the meal. On the way to the Bouazzer mines, we pursue the stunning landscapes. It is a remote part of the world and further off the road. We went west towards Agadir and passed the passes of the Tizi-n-Ikhsane and the pass of the Tizi-n-Tighatine. We stop for lunch at Taliouine, the center of Morocco's saffron-growing region and an excellent small museum of saffron growth. In the afternoon the road takes us back to Taroudant and continues along the frequently dry Souss river and endless argan trees along all slopes back to Agadir on the hillside. which we reach by the end of the afternoon.
